Course Brief
As you proceed through the course, you will discover that impartiality is an integral part of what defines an appraiser. The course emphasizes the appraiser’s role and how impartiality is associated with that role under various assignments—the very types of assignments appraisers perform in everyday practice. The course emphasizes the practical application of USPAP—and that will be evident in every module.
This course is an introduction to USPAP, and therefore many in the class will focus on assignments that involve real property appraisal or appraisal review. However, USPAP extends to assignments involving personal property and business or intangible assets. A clear understanding of USPAP fosters both ethical behavior and competent practice in all appraisal disciplines. The course consists of 11 modules, and follows the required topical content established by the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of The Appraisal Foundation (TAF). Quizzes are presented at specific points within each module to test your mastery of USPAP concepts. The course also features a video clip case study application in nearly all 11 modules.
