Ethics And Rules Module 2024

The 2024 API Ethics and Rules Module provides Members with the most current information on ethical practice and professional conduct within the sector.

This training module assists members to implement the principles of the API Code of Ethics (CoE) into their professional practice, supporting Members to address their professional Member obligations in the Rules of Professional Conduct (Rules). Sign into your Member Portal to view both the CoE and Rules.

Following completion of this module, API Members will be able to:

1. Explain how the CoE and the Rules set the ethical and professional conduct obligations for Members
2. Identify the frameworks for professional conduct and obligations applicable to Members when undertaking Valuations or in the provision of professional services
3. Apply compliance expectations based on the Rules to evaluate professional misconduct, and
4. Evaluate ethical dilemmas faced by Members to choose actions that resolve those dilemmas.

Completion Requirements

All Members (with the exclusion of Student, Retired and Connect Members) are required to complete an Ethics module before 31 Dec 2023 to meet their CPD Obligations.
